Nikon 7900 Review

Nikon 7900 Review

The Nikon Coolpix 7900 is super compact, very light weight, and has a rugged metal body to withstand lots of wear and tear. Quite simply, the CoolPix 7900 produces pictures that are so good they compare favorably with those from most digital SLRs.

The design is derived from earlier models, a product line starting with popular Coolpix 4300 launched in 2002.

You will appreciate the compact design of the Nikon 7900 (slightly taller than a credit card (just about as wide), and a little under an inch and a half thick), large handgrip and easy-to-use interface.

The stylish 7900 is available in a choice of two colors, either black or silver. In terms of build quality and overall design, the 7900 is everything you would expect from a Nikon digital camera.

Nikon 7900 Review – Final Word

The Coolpix 7900 is a good choice for anyone who wants an easy to use camera that delivers good-looking pictures with pleasing color and plenty of resolution. The Nikon 7900 has one of the best image quality of any compact digital cameras on the market.

This digital camera feels and is solid, easy to operate, compact (will fit in your pocket), excellent battery life.

An impressive feature of the Coolpix 7900 is Nikon's innovative D-Lighting function. This function can be activated for example in play back mode, to automatically improve a photo when too much backlighting or insufficient flash light is the case, in order to get a correct exposure as an end result. Very good feature from Nikon.

You won’t find many negative reviews of this Nikon digital camera because it’s almost a perfect digital camera!

I looked up for you the best price online for the 7900.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Nikon 7900 Review – Memory

Most digital cameras come with very low capacity memory cards and the Coolpix 7900 is no exception. A 32 MB SD memory card is included in the box when you purchase the 7900.

There is no fixed rule for the number of photos you can put on one card because different image file types, different amounts of compression, and image content all affect the size of each file.

As a general rule, I'd recommend at least 256 megabytes or two 128 megabyte cards if you're buying a 3-5 megapixels compact digital camera.

With the Coolpix 7900 and the 7 megapixel, get at least a 512 memory card, there are so cheap now and it’s much nicer to know you don’t have to worried about memory space when taking pictures. Click here for more information on memory.

With the 32 MB memory card included with the Nikon 7900, you will take approximately 5 pictures before having to empty the memory card! You must include in your budget the cost of another memory card.

The type of memory card for the Nikon Coolpix 7900 is SD memory card.
