What is FujiFilm Real Photo Technology?
FujiFilm says its Real Photo Technology will dramatically improve the 4 major problems when taking pictures with your digital camera:
- Camera shake
- Poor flash shots
- Shutter delay
- Short battery life
The ultra fast processing speeds up the shooting process, while its improved energy-efficiency means greater battery like.
Other brands like Canon have addressed shake by adding image stabilization (IS) but Fuji has taken a different approach.
FujiFilm Real Photo Technology boasts class-leading noise suppression allowing for example, the Fuji F10 to shoot at ISO rating up to 1600. This, in theory, is better than IS because that only reduces camera shake.
Below you can see an example of a shot taken without and with FujiFilm Photo Technology.
If you’re photographing people at slow shutter speeds it won’t stop their movement, so they still be blurred.
A higher ISO enables faster shutter speeds which not only reduces camera shake but freezes subject movement too.
It also helps cure the flash problem. Flash can be used less often and at a lower power and also has a much greater reach. Two extra stops on ISO will double the effective flash range.
By contrast, slow shutter speeds (with or without IS) have no impact on flash output.
Here what FujiFilm has to say about Real Photo Technology:
“Real Photo Technology captures treasured moments just as your eye sees them. Combining the new RP Processor, 5th Generation Super CCD-HR Sensor and Fujinon Lens Optics, the F10 delivers ultra-high sensitivity with low noise, faster operational speeds and reduced power consumption.
This allows you to capture priceless memories of photographs with every nuance of light and color, even in low light situations without a flash.”
